months can be especially hard on them. Here are some tips to keep you pet safe
during the winter when the temperature drops:

especially harsh for your pets paws. You can keep your dogs paws softened with
baby oil, cooking spray or dog boots during the winter months. You also want to

hard on their digestive tract.
A dog jacket is great for the winter
Short haired dogs are especially fragile when it comes to the cold. If you

consider purchasing a pet jacket - which will help keep them nice and toasty.
Put all antifreeze up high - this product has a taste that animals love. If you
think your dog or cat has drank antifreeze call you vet immediately. Even
prolonged licking of an antifreeze drip from your car can be enough to cause
problems.
If you have a dog house be sure it is not to big. Smaller houses can hold more
heat from their bodies. Also straw or hay tends to be the best bedding material
because it does not hold the cold inside the fibers like a blanket would.
