Prevent heartworms with the Interceptor Flavor Tab

Preventing heart worms in your dog is very important, and the Interceptor Flavor Tab makes it easy. Interceptor is manufactured by Novartis and the flavor tabs are a great product that is very easy to administer to your pet.

The flavor tabs that contain Interceptor are recommended for the prevention of heartworm disease, and also the treatment and control of parasitic infections caused by the adult hookworm, roundworms and whipworm. It can be used in dogs over two weeks of age and weigh more than one kilogram.

The tablets are available in 4 different colors, all with the same great Interceptor flavor. The tablets are Brown, Green, Yellow and White - and which colored tab you administer will depend on the weight of your dog.

Heartworm prevention is easy with Interceptor

For heartworm prevention you need to give your puppy one tablet per month, on the same day. What I do is simply give my dog the flavor tab on the first of every month - this makes dosing easy to remember. It would also be a good idea to mark this on your calendar so you don't forget. Reminder stickers are included in the package of Interceptor.

You will want to give the first dose within a month after the first indication of mosquitoes in your area. Then you should continue until the last mosquito has disappeared for the winter. In some climates you may have to treat all year long.
