Considerations in Choosing Dog and Cat Toys for Your Pets
Whether your pet is a dog or a cat or especially if you live in one of those happy, hectic houses where dogs and cats share equal reign with hamsters and geckos and guppies, there are certain basic considerations you should keep in mind when choosing dog and cat toys.
Most of the considerations good pet owners should remember have to do with one word: safety. Before you introduce anything into your home, you want to refer to this word with a big question mark after it and determine an answer before you bring the object home. Is it safe for everyone who lives in my house? Is it safe for my pet's mouth and paws?
Take your pet's size into consideration here and their play habits as well as their aggressiveness. Strong pets need strong toys. Cuddly pets need cuddly toys. Wild pets need toys that will help them run off their energy, and old pets need toys that can be enjoyed without huge effort. Dogs use their mouths for everything; cats use their paws. Make sure the toy you bring home is appropriate for your pet. Make sure it won't break or fall apart or shred immediately. Wipe it off or wash it occasionally. Your pet may lie on the dirty floor, but that doesn't mean he should be eating it.
Your pet is a part of your family circle. Keep your pet happy and everyone in your home will gain happiness from its presence. Buying the right dog and cat toys will keep your animals happy and healthy and just maybe keep them off the street, as well.
